I know. Here she goes again on the sugar bandwagon. I gave up sugar in September. Then came November/Thanksgiving, Christmas and my son’s birthday – all before New Years. There has never been a piece of cheesecake that I didn’t like. And I really had a tough time over the holidays because my Mother in Law makes probably the best cheesecake in the world. However – those transgressions turned into a few chocolate truffles and then it turned into a pint of Blue Belle Butter Pecan Ice Cream – which I finished in three nights. I figured what the heck after that…however; I experienced dizziness last night, and a few sleepless and restless nights previously – actually since the holidays started my sleep patterns have been off. When you make a commitment to stop sugar – and then you eat too much; it’s not a pretty sight. I do believe in moderation – but for now; sugar is not a good thing for me. To back me up; here is a list of 76 ways that sugar can harm your health; from the website of Prof. Keith Scott-Mumby MD, MB, CnB, PhD.
