By the time a tell-tale lump is detected in the breast, there already are an average of 45 billion cancer cells present and some of these malignant cells have metastasized to other parts of the body. Sobering thought indeed. The usual path of treatment is through conventional medicine, which recommends radiation and chemotherapy after removal of the lump. Sometimes the effects of chemo and radiation are devastating and obviously this weakens the immune system; but despite that, studies show improved survival in breast cancer patients when these conventional therapies are used appropriately.
There are supplements that work well and can be combined with mainstream therapy but are considered by most to be alternative therapies - However, they can be crucial to the successful treatment of breast cancer. These cells differ from other cancer cells, so the incorporation of immune and hormone modulating strategies that interfere with breast cancer cell proliferation is needed.
Read the following information to determine if taking any of these supplements for preventative or adjunct therapy is something you should consider.
The following article is extremely long and complicated but worth viewing. Bookmark it and drill down into each category when you have the time to do the research. Every woman owes it to herself to be as informed as possible, and ask the questions. No one is a better advocate for you, than you.

If you choose to use supplements either as a preventative or in addition to treatment; Life Extension provides some of the very best in the world. They have health advisors a phone call away – I don’t deny that I would use an alternative route myself first and use conventional methods only if I had to – and I wouldn’t bother with my website if I didn’t believe strongly in our own bodies strength to stave off illness or to fight it, given the right ammunition…but I need to stress that you must talk with your health provider about anything you do – and I would highly suggest partnering with an alternative health care provider whom you can ask questions of and get another opinion. The ultimate goal is YOUR health and well being – not what is decided for you based on whatever parameters are involved.

Any vitamin formula including the anti aging vitamin should also include the family of B vitamins because they reduce stress which causes free radicals. Omega 3 fatty acids, fish oils, and even flax seed are also good additions to the formula because they increase overall health and mental performance.
Thank you J. Acai – good point.
