Anti-Aging Your Skin with Sunscreens

in Skin Care News of the Day

Even in the waning day of summer, since fall officially starts tomorrow afternoon…a sunscreen should still be on your list of products to apply each day before heading out.  To recap on the sun sense of protecting your natural beauty, your unfortunately always aging skin still needs a sunscreen every day that you step outside of a building.  Or a car.  But you need it in a car TOO.  I have big windows in my office so I wear it there as well!

  • MyChelle Dermaceuticals SunShield SPF 28 - I have been using this for about a week now.  LOVE IT.  I love the way it glides on, I can see the protection but I don’t feel I have to wear a foundation over it because I can still see my skin.  It appears to work very well as I have rosacea and sensitive skin when the sun touches it.  It’s nontoxic, moisture-preserving and a mineral based sun block providing both UVA and UVB skin protection.  Will not clog pores or sting eyes.
  • Sunforgettable from Colorescience - I have a first hand account from a reader that loves this formula.  She has sensitive skin and rosacea as well.  She won’t be without it.
  • Aveeno Posititively Ageless SPF 70 - I have used this all summer with great success.  My only complaint is that you have to not mind that you look a bit ghostly.  I always feel like I have to wear a foundation over it to tone down the white; but if you are at the pool or beach, who cares?  Although every time I wear it my sister asks me how I get my skin so dewy looking.  LOL.  and you can’t beat the price.  At Walgreens and CVS stores as well.
  • Jan Marini Sun Protection Products - I have tried a lot of these and they work well.  I used Jan Marini bioglycolic products several years ago to minimize the effects of sun damage on my face with great success.
